As a 12-year-old, Carlos Washington joyfully confessed
Christ as his personal Savior in the Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Houston, Texas. Rev. Washington was a faithful member there nearly 20 years. He accepted the call to the gospel ministry in 1989; and was subsequently asked to serve as the first Assistant Pastor of Jordon Grove, a position he held for six years.
In 1999, Reverend Washington joined the Lilly Grove Baptist Church under the dynamic leadership of Pastor T. K. Anderson.
On January 2000, Pastor Anderson affirmed Rev. Washington before the congregation as the Youth and Children's Pastor. That department continues to develop into a program that is recognized regularly on local, state, and national levels.
After a short tenure as a part time servant in the church, Pastor Anderson asked Rev. Washington to assume his current role of full time Associate Pastor. Rev. Washington now focuses his time on providing Christian counseling and assisting Pastor Anderson in day-to-day pastoral responsibilities.
